The Hickory Hornets baseball squad (Hermitage, PA), 6-3 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA)

The Lancers now own a 16-4 record. They take the field next when they host Serra Catholic for a non-league test on Monday, May 12. Neshannock will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 17-3.

With the defeat, Hickory drops to 5-12 on the year. The Hornets host Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA) to clash with the Rockets in a District 10 Region 2 test on Monday, May 12. The Rockets go into the test with a record of 11-3. Slippery Rock won 8-7 in their recent league test against Sharon (Sharon, PA)
