Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Union Bears (Big Stone Gap, VA), 6-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Gate City moves its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Abingdon (Abingdon, VA) to meet the Falcons in a Mountain 7 test on Tuesday, May 13. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 9-5. Abingdon won 8-0 in their recent league test against Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA)
