May 9, 2025: Lynchburg, VA 24502 Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Brookville Bees (Lynchburg, VA), 10-7 in a league game.
With the triumph, Amherst County improves its record to 10-6 on the year. The Lancers host Rustburg (Rustburg, VA) to play the Red Devils in a Seminole game on Tuesday, May 13. The Red Devils enter the game with a record of 9-7.
The Bees now hold a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Jefferson Forest for a Seminole game on Tuesday, May 13. Brookville will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 5-2 league win over Halifax County (South Boston, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 14-1.
