The Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN) softball tipped the host River Forest Ingots (Hobart, IN), 10-9 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Wolves now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hammond Morton for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 13.

With the loss, River Forest moves to 5-10 on the season. The Ingots travel to Lake Station Edison (Lake Station, IN) to confront the Fighting Eagles in a Greater South Shore battle on Monday, May 12. The Fighting Eagles come into the battle with a record of 2-12. Lake Station Edison lost 13-0 in their recent league battle against Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN)
