May 9, 2025: Stevens Point, WI 54481 Pacelli Cardinals (Stevens Point, WI) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Wausau West Warriors (Wausau, WI), 8-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Pacelli improves its record to 21-0 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Grantsburg (Grantsburg, WI) to play the Pirates in a non-league game on Saturday, May 10. The Pirates enter the game with a record of 12-1. Grantsburg won 13-3 in their recent league game against Turtle Lake/Clayton (Turtle Lake, WI)
The Warriors now hold a 5-12 record. They play next when they host Stevens Point for a Wisconsin Valley game on Tuesday, May 13. Wausau West will play a Panthers squad coming off a 23-2 league win over Wausau East (Wausau, WI). The Panthers record now stands at 17-6.
