Virginia High School Softball - Middlesex nudges King & Queen Central
May 10, 2022: King & Queen Court House, VA 23085 Middlesex Chargers (Saluda, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host King & Queen Central Royal Tigers (King & Queen Court House, VA), 1-0 in a league challenge.
The Chargers now own a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Mathews for a Tidewater challenge on Friday, May 13. Middlesex will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 10-0 league win over West Point (West Point, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 10-3.
With the loss, King & Queen Central falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Royal tigers travel to Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA) to face the Drifters in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 11. The Drifters enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. Colonial Beach lost 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Essex (Tappahannock, VA)
