Pennsylvania High School Softball - Springside holds off Mt. St. Joseph Academy
May 10, 2023: Philadelphia, PA 19118 Springside (Philadelphia, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mt. St. Joseph Academy (Flourtown, PA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
The now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Academy-Notre Dame De Namur for a Inter-Academic challenge on Friday, May 12. Springside will battle a squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to Baldwin (Bryn Mawr, PA). The record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Mt. St. Joseph Academy falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The travel to Villa Joseph Marie (Holland, PA) to battle the Jems in a Catholic Academies challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Jems enter the challenge with a record of 4-14. Villa Joseph Marie won 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Nazareth Academy (Philadelphia, PA)
