Wisconsin High School Soccer - Verona knocks off Edgewood
May 10, 2024: Verona, WI 53593 Verona Wildcats (Verona, WI) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Edgewood Crusaders (Madison, WI), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats confront the Vel Phillips Memorial Spartans (Madison, WI) in a Big Eight challenge, on Monday, May 13. Verona will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 1-1 league Janesville Craig (Janesville, WI).
The Crusaders now possess a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sauk Prairie for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14. Edgewood will confront a Eagles team coming off a 0-0 league DeForest (DeForest, WI). The Eagles record now stands at 8-2.
