Maine High School Softball - Bucksport bounces Mount Desert Island
May 10, 2024: Mount Desert, ME 04660 Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME), 12-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Golden Bucks now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount View for a Class C North challenge on Monday, May 13. Bucksport will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-8.
With the loss, Mount Desert Island falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Old Town (Old Town, ME) to battle the Coyotes in a Class B North challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Coyotes enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Old Town won 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Bangor (Bangor, ME)
