The Berrien Springs Shamrocks baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Wayland Wildcats to 5 in the Shamrocks non-league win on Saturday.

The Shamrocks now hold a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they host Dowagiac for a Lakeland test on Tuesday, May 13. Berrien Springs will play a Chieftains team coming off a 9-3 non-league loss to Lakewood (Lake Odessa, MI). The Chieftains record now stands at 4-12.

With the defeat, Wayland drops to 11-10 on the year. The Wildcats host Coopersville (Coopersville, MI) to play the Broncos in a non-league test on Monday, May 12. The Broncos go into the test with a record of 16-2. Coopersville won 5-3 in their recent non-league test against Kenowa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI)
