New York High School Baseball - New Hartford edges Central Square
May 10, 2025: New Hartford, NY 13413 The New Hartford Spartans baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Central Square Redhawks to 3 in the Spartans non-league win on Saturday.
The Spartans now hold a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Proctor for a Section 3 Tri-Valley test on Thursday, May 15. New Hartford will play a Raiders team coming off a 20-2 league win over Oneida (Oneida, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 9-4.
With the defeat, Central Square drops to 1-6 on the year. The Redhawks travel to Jamesville-DeWitt (DeWitt, NY) to play the Red Rams in a Section 3 SCAC Empire test on Monday, May 12. The Red Rams go into the test with a record of 9-1. Jamesville-DeWitt won 4-2 in their recent league test against Auburn (Auburn, NY)
