The Homer Trojans (Homer, MI) baseball got by the host Springport Spartans (Springport, MI), 5-4 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 7-8 record. They take the field next when they host Leslie for a Cascades challenge on Monday, May 12. Homer will clash with a Blackhawks team coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Pewamo-Westphalia (Pewamo, MI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 8-9.

With the defeat, Springport drops to 9-3 on the year. The Spartans host Concord (Concord, MI) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a Big 8 challenge on Tuesday, May 13. The Yellowjackets go into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Concord won 7-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Lenawee Christian (Adrian, MI)
