In Saturday's non-league bout, the Portage Northern Huskies (Portage, MI) baseball squad edged the host Lincoln Railsplitters (Ypsilanti, MI), by a tally of 6-5.

Next up, the Huskies encounter the Forest Hills Eastern Hawks (Ada, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, May 13. Portage Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 9-15 season record. The Hawks enter the bout with a 16-1 record after their 18-0 league win over Ottawa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI).

The Railsplitters (11-21) will now prepare for their bout against Plymouth (Canton, MI). The Wildcats enter the non-league bout with a 8-16 record. In their last bout, Plymouth edged Wayne Memorial (Wayne, MI), 8-0, in a non-league bout.
