Pennsylvania High School Softball - South Williamsport bested by Abington Heights
May 10, 2025: South Williamsport, PA 17702 The Abington Heights Comets triumphed over the host South Williamsport Mountaineers softball squad by a count of 11-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Comets play the North Pocono Trojans (Covington Township, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 12. Abington Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 16-2 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 14-3 record after their 7-2 non-league win over Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA).
The Mountaineers (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Athens (Athens, PA). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 15-1 record. In their last challenge, Athens overcame Cowanesque Valley (Westfield, PA), 18-3, in a non-league challenge.
