The Chippewa Chipps the visiting Firestone Falcons softball squad by a count of 14-12 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Chipps play the Smithville Smithies (Smithville, OH) in a Wayne County challenge, on Tuesday, May 13. Chippewa will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Smithies enter the challenge with a 4-16 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Wooster (Wooster, OH).
