In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Linden Eagles softball team scored a tight 4-3 win over the Portage Central Mustangs.

The Eagles (21-2) will now prepare for their match against Holly (Holly, MI). The Bronchos come into the Flint Metro match with a 5-11 record. In their last match, Holly was nipped by Ithaca (Ithaca, MI), 4-2, in a non-league match.
