Marshall Lions (Marshall, IL) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Meridian Hawks (Macon, IL), 3-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Marshall improves its record to 18-7 on the year. The Lions travel to Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Saturday, May 10. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 17-3. Pinckneyville lost 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Carterville (Carterville, IL)

The Hawks now hold a 20-6 record. They play next when they travel to Williamsville for a non-league game on Monday, May 12. Meridian will play a Bullets squad coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Morton (Morton, IL). The Bullets record now stands at 16-10.
