Illinois High School Softball - Massac County bounces Zeigler-Royalton
May 10, 2025: Metropolis, IL 62960 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) and the visiting Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes (Zeigler, IL), observed Massac County's softball team prevail over Zeigler-Royalton by a tally of 11-1.
The Patriots (7-15) will now prepare for their outing against Ballard Memorial (Barlow, KY). The Bombers come into the non-league outing with a 15-9 record. In their last outing, Ballard Memorial was routed by Hickman County (Clinton, KY), 9-4, in a non-league outing.
With the loss, Zeigler-Royalton moves to 10-17 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Vienna (Vienna, IL) to encounter the Eagles in a Black Diamond West outing on Wednesday, May 14. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 8-16. Vienna lost 6-3 in their recent league outing against Goreville (Goreville, IL)
