The Peru Nighthawks crushed the host Saranac Chiefs baseball team by a count of 13-4 in Thursday's league bout.

The Nighthawks now possess a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they host Moriah for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout on Friday, May 12. Peru will face a Vikings team coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Chazy (Chazy, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 7-5.

Next, the Chiefs face the Ticonderoga Sentinels (Ticonderoga, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout, on Friday, May 12. Saranac will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Sentinels enter the bout with a 5-6 record after their 16-2 league loss to Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY).
