La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the visiting San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA), 16-5 in a non-league test.

The Mavericks now have a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Torrey Pines for a non-league test on Wednesday, May 17. La Costa Canyon will face a Falcons squad coming off a 18-3 non-league win over Poway (Poway, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 14-4.
