Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) backers exited the stadium satisfied Monday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the visiting Patrick Henry Patriots (Roanoke, VA), 10-9 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Salem improves its record to 12-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a River Ridge game on Thursday, May 14. The Cavaliers come into the game with a record of 8-3. Jefferson Forest won 15-6 in their recent league game against Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA)

The Patriots now have a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Glass for a non-league game on Wednesday, May 13. Patrick Henry will play a Hilltoppers team coming off a 21-1 non-league win over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 9-2.
