In Friday's non-league challenge, the Farmville Central Jaguars (Farmville, NC) baseball squad edged the host SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC), by a final score of 6-5.

With the win, Farmville Central upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Greene Central (Snow Hill, NC) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 21-3. Greene Central won 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC)
