Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX), 1-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Rio Hondo upgrades its record to 28-2 on the season. The Bobcats travel to London (Corpus Christi, TX) to battle the Pirates in a non-league test on Saturday, May 20. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 27-3. London won 15-0 in their recent non-league test against IDEA Edinburg College Prep (Edinburg, TX)

With the defeat, Taft falls to 16-14 on the season.
