The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) and the host New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT), saw Shepaug Valley's softball squad nip New Milford by a count of 6-2.

The Spartans now sport a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Coginchaug Regional for a non-league match on Monday, May 15.

With the loss, New Milford falls to 13-6 on the campaign. The Green wave travel to New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT) to face the Rebels in a Southwest - Patriot match on Monday, May 15. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 9-9. New Fairfield won 12-4 in their recent non-league match against Weston (Weston, CT)
