Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Longmeadow Lancers (Longmeadow, MA), 10-9 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Central advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to New Bedford (New Bedford, MA) to battle the Whalers in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 13. The Whalers come into the match with a record of 1-1.

The Lancers now have a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shrewsbury for a non-league match on Saturday, May 17.
