Iowa High School Soccer - Prairie City-Monroe toppled by Madrid
May 12, 2025: Monroe, IA 50170 Madrid Tigers (Madrid, IA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA), 5-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Madrid moves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Pella (Pella, IA) to clash with the Dutch in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 27. The Dutch come into the test with a record of 7-8. Pella lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Knoxville (Knoxville, IA)
The Mustangs now sport a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Albia for a non-league test on Thursday, May 15. Prairie City-Monroe will clash with a Blue Demons team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Grand View Christian (Des Moines, IA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 4-10.
