The Rifle Bears baseball team (Rifle, CO), was tipped 17-16 in Thursday's non-league outing with the visiting Roaring Fork Rams (Carbondale, CO)

The Rams now hold a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Delta for a 3A Western Slope outing on Saturday, May 15. Roaring Fork will confront a Panthers team coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Durango (Durango, CO). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.

Next, the Bears confront the Battle Mountain Huskies (Edwards, CO) in a 4A Western Slope outing, on Tuesday, May 18. Rifle will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Huskies go into the outing with a 5-1 record after their 6-5 league win over Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO).
