Illinois High School Softball - Wesclin bounces Gibault Catholic
May 13, 2021: Trenton, IL 62293 Wesclin Warriors (Trenton, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Gibault Catholic Hawks (Waterloo, IL), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Warriors now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Carlyle for a Cahokia - Mississippi challenge on Friday, May 14. Wesclin will face a Indians squad coming off a 7-3 league loss to Columbia (Columbia, IL). The Indians record now stands at 1-7.
With the loss, Gibault Catholic falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Hawks host Mater Dei (Breese, IL) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 18. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Mater Dei lost 12-11 in their recent non-league challenge against Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL)
