Maine High School Lacrosse - Sanford drops to Thornton Academy
May 13, 2023: Saco, ME 04072 Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) boosters exited the stadium content Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad overcome the visiting Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME), 11-3 in a league battle.
The Trojans now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bonny Eagle for a Class A South battle on Wednesday, May 17. Thornton Academy will clash with a Scots squad coming off a 9-6 non-league loss to Lake Region (Naples, ME). The Scots record now stands at 2-7.
In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Traip Rangers (Kittery, ME) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 15. Sanford will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Rangers come into the battle with a 2-4 record after their 15-4 league loss to Freeport (Freeport, ME).
