Maine High School Softball - Valley can't hold off Monmouth Academy
May 13, 2023: Monmouth, ME 04259 The Monmouth Academy Mustangs softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Valley Cavaliers to 5 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Monmouth Academy improves its record to 10-0 on the year. The Mustangs host Winthrop (Winthrop, ME) to clash with the Ramblers in a Class C South game on Monday, May 15. The Ramblers come into the game with a record of 5-3. Winthrop won 8-5 in their recent league game against Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME)
In their next game, the Cavaliers clash with the Forest Hills Tigers (Jackman, ME) in a Class D South game, on Wednesday, May 17. Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 3-3 record after their 3-2 league win over Greenville (Greenville, ME).
