May 13, 2025: Merrillville, IN 46410 Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN) followers left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN), 4-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Morgan Township moves its record to 2-3 on the season. The Cherokees host Culver Academies (Culver, IN) to battle the Eagles in a non-league match on Thursday, May 15. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 0-0.
The Fighting 59ers now possess a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Illiana Christian for a non-league match on Friday, May 16. Andrean will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Portage (Portage, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 10-5.
