With the victory, East Grand Rapids advances its record to 12-2 on the season. The Pioneers host Spring Lake (Spring Lake, MI) to encounter the Lakers in a Division 2 District 5 battle on Wednesday, May 14. The Lakers come into the battle with a record of 7-8. Spring Lake won 16-7 in their recent non-league battle against Powers Catholic (Flint, MI)
The Bulldogs now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greenhills for a non-league battle on Friday, May 16. Byron Center will encounter a Gryphons team coming off a 17-10 non-league loss to Lincoln (Ypsilanti, MI). The Gryphons record now stands at 2-9.
