Massachusetts High School Softball - Reading Memorial gets by Newton North
May 14, 2022: Reading, MA 01867 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Reading Memorial Rockets (Reading, MA) and the visiting Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA), witnessed Reading Memorial's softball squad tip Newton North by a count of 2-1.
The Rockets now sport a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Arlington for a Middlesex match on Tuesday, May 17. Reading Memorial will face a Spy Ponders squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Belmont (Belmont, MA). The Spy Ponders record now stands at 10-4.
With the loss, Newton North moves to 4-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Walpole (Walpole, MA) to face the Rebels in a non-league match on Monday, May 16. The Rebels go into the match with a record of 10-1. Walpole won 12-0 in their recent non-league match against Abington (Abington, MA)
