Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA), 5-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Palo Verde Valley upgrades its record to 12-13 on the season. The Yellow Jackets travel to Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA) to battle the Monarchs in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 15. The Monarchs come into the test with a record of 18-9. Monte Vista lost 8-1 in their recent league test against Valhalla (El Cajon, CA)

With the defeat, Hilltop falls to 10-18 on the season.
