May 14, 2024: Port Byron, NY 13140 Port Byron Panthers (Port Byron, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Rebels (Parish, NY), 5-2 in a league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they host Cato-Meridian for a Section 3 Patriot National challenge on Thursday, May 16. Port Byron will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Hannibal (Hannibal, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-2.
With the loss, Altmar-Parish-Williamstown falls to 11-2 on the campaign. The Rebels host Phoenix (Phoenix, NY) to battle the Firebirds in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 16. The Firebirds enter the challenge with a record of 5-11. Phoenix won 9-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Pulaski (Pulaski, NY)
