The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN) and the visiting Cowan Blackhawks (Muncie, IN), saw South Adams's baseball team get by Cowan by a tally of 3-2.

The Starfires (3-15) will now prepare for their battle against Adams Central (Monroe, IN). The Flying Jets enter the Allen County battle with a 9-9 record. In their last battle, Adams Central was tipped by Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (Fort Wayne, IN), 8-3, in a non-league battle.
