New Jersey High School Baseball - Payne Tech holds off East Side
May 14, 2025: Newark, NJ 07105 The crowd at Wednesday's league battle between the Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ) and the host East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ), saw Payne Tech's baseball team beat East Side by a margin of 7-3.
The Lions (11-5) will now prepare for their battle against Gloucester County Tech (Sewell, NJ). The enter the non-league battle with a 8-15 record. In their last battle, Gloucester County Tech was overwhelmed by Glassboro (Glassboro, NJ), 7-2, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Red Raiders encounter the Linden Tigers (Linden, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 17. East Side will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record.
