New York High School Softball - Morrisville-Eaton edges Clinton
May 14, 2025: Morrisville, NY 13408 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Morrisville-Eaton Mavericks (Morrisville, NY) and the visiting Clinton Comets (Clinton, NY), observed Morrisville-Eaton's softball team get by Clinton by a tally of 6-4.
The Mavericks (7-2) will now prepare for their outing against Cooperstown (Cooperstown, NY). The Hawkeyes come into the Section 3 Center State III outing with a 7-1 record. In their last outing, Cooperstown got by Oriskany (Oriskany, NY), 9-4, in a league outing.
With the loss, Clinton moves to 2-7 on the season. The Comets host Frankfort-Schuyler (Frankfort, NY) to encounter the Maroon Knights in a Section 3 Center State I outing on Thursday, May 15. The Maroon Knights come into the outing with a record of 4-9. Frankfort-Schuyler won 10-6 in their recent league outing against Canastota (Canastota, NY)
