In Wednesday's non-league test, the Edwin O. Smith Panthers (Storrs, CT) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting East Catholic Eagles (Manchester, CT), by a tally of 10-0.

Next, the Panthers clash with the South Windsor Bobcats (South Windsor, CT) in a non-league test, on Friday, May 16. Edwin O. Smith will attempt to advance on its 13-2 season record. The Bobcats go into the test with a 2-14 record after their 15-5 league loss to Glastonbury (Glastonbury, CT).

The Eagles (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Enfield (Enfield, CT). The Eagles go into the Central Connecticut - North test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Enfield prevailed over Manchester (Manchester, CT), 12-0, in a league test.
