The Fairfield Lions (Leesburg, OH) softball routed the host West Union Dragons (West Union, OH), 13-1 in Wednesday's league outing.

The Lions now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Manchester for a Southern Hills Athletic outing on Thursday, May 15. Fairfield will encounter a Greyhounds team coming off a 17-4 league win over Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington (Ripley, OH). The Greyhounds record now stands at 15-3.

With the loss, West Union moves to 2-14 on the season. The Dragons travel to North Adams (Seaman, OH) to encounter the Green Devils in a Southern Hills Athletic outing on Friday, May 16. The Green Devils come into the outing with a record of 8-12. North Adams lost 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against Eastern (Sardinia, OH)
