The Smithville Warriors baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Chrisman Bears to 2 in the Warriors non-league win on Thursday.
The Warriors now hold a 13-20 record. They take the field next when they travel to Winnetonka for a Class 5 District 8 test on Tuesday, May 19. Smithville will play a Griffins team coming off a 9-8 league win over Kearney (Kearney, MO). The Griffins record now stands at 19-8.
With the defeat, Chrisman drops to 8-19 on the year. The Bears host Belton (Belton, MO) to play the Pirates in a non-league test on Friday, May 15. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 7-21. Belton won 16-1 in their recent league test against Ruskin (Kansas City, MO)
