Wisconsin High School Softball - Freedom nudges Ashwaubenon
May 15, 2023: Green Bay, WI 54304 Freedom Irish (Freedom, WI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ashwaubenon Jaguars (Green Bay, WI), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Irish now sport a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to West De Pere for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 16. Freedom will face a Phantoms squad coming off a 12-7 league win over Shawano Community (Shawano, WI). The Phantoms record now stands at 7-8.
With the loss, Ashwaubenon falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Bay Port (Green Bay, WI) to face the Pirates in a Fox River Classic challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 10-9. Bay Port lost 8-7 in their recent league challenge against Notre Dame Academy (Green Bay, WI)
