In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Barr-Reeve Vikings softball team scored a nice 16-1 win over the Washington Hatchets.

The Vikings (12-6) will now prepare for their match against North Posey (Poseyville, IN). The Vikings come into the non-league match with a 15-5 record. In their last match, North Posey was routed by Boonville (Boonville, IN), 5-4, in a league contest.

The Hatchets now hold a 2-18 record. They play next when they travel to Tell City for a Pocket contest on Friday, May 16. Washington will face a Marksmen squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Tecumseh (Lynnville, IN). The Marksmen record now stands at 6-7.
