With the triumph, Deep Creek upgrades its record to 12-6 on the year. The Hornets host Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Wildcats in a Southeastern game on Monday, May 19. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 15-3. Great Bridge won 5-3 in their recent non-league game against Cox (Virginia Beach, VA)
The Braves now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they host Hickory for a Southeastern game on Tuesday, May 20. Indian River will play a Hawks squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 18-2.
