Magruder Colonels (Rockville, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Magruder upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Colonels travel to North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD) to battle the Hubs in a non-league test on Friday, May 19. The Hubs come into the test with a record of 16-4. North Hagerstown won 7-6 in their recent non-league test against Governor Thomas Johnson (Frederick, MD)

With the defeat, Damascus falls to 14-6 on the season.
