New York High School Softball - Wallkill gets by Newburgh Free Academy
May 16, 2023: Newburgh, NY 12550 The Wallkill Panthers got by the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Panthers (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY). The Crusaders go into the non-league battle with a 16-1 record. In their last battle, Monroe-Woodbury nudged Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY), 8-7, in a non-league battle.
The Goldbacks now sport a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Chester for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 17. Newburgh Free Academy will meet a Hambletonians squad coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY). The Hambletonians record now stands at 2-5.
