Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Berne Union Rockets (Sugar Grove, OH), 5-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Elgin upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Comets travel to Fairfield Christian Academy (Lancaster, OH) to battle the Knights in a non-league test on Monday, May 20. The Knights come into the test with a record of 19-6. Fairfield Christian Academy won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Shekinah Christian (Plain City, OH)

With the defeat, Berne Union falls to 13-8 on the season. The Rockets travel to Fisher Catholic (Lancaster, OH) to battle the Irish in a Mid-State - Cardinal test on Friday, May 17.
