Virginia High School Baseball - Woodside loses to Gloucester
May 16, 2024: Newport News, VA 23608 The Gloucester Dukes crushed the host Woodside Wolverines baseball team by a count of 13-3 in Thursday's league bout.
The Dukes now possess a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they host Warhill for a non-league bout on Monday, May 20. Gloucester will face a Lions team coming off a 7-1 league win over Bruton (Williamsburg, VA). The Lions record now stands at 4-15.
Next, the Wolverines face the Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA) in a Peninsula bout, on Monday, May 20. Woodside will attempt to move on its 5-13 season record. The Bruins enter the bout with a 15-4 record after their 8-2 league win over Hampton (Hampton, VA).
