Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA), 6-5 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Mathews advances its record to 11-7 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to West Point (West Point, VA) to battle the Pointers in a Tidewater match on Tuesday, May 20. The Pointers come into the match with a record of 3-11. West Point won 1-0 in their recent league match against King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA)

The Drifters now have a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Point for a non-league match on Saturday, May 24.
