New Jersey High School Softball - Clayton Buena
May 16, 2025: Clayton, NJ 08312 The Clayton Clippers softball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Buena Chiefs to 11 in the Clippers non-league win on Friday.
The Clippers now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gloucester Catholic for a Tri-County - Classic battle on Saturday, May 17. Clayton will confront a Rams team coming off a 6-1 league win over Wildwood (Wildwood, NJ). The Rams record now stands at 9-6.
With the loss, Buena moves to 5-17 on the season. The Chiefs host Our Lady of Mercy Academy (Newfield, NJ) to confront the Villagers in a Cape-Atlantic - National battle on Monday, May 19. The Villagers come into the battle with a record of 6-11.
